Surging Horizon Magazine
One of the cornerstone projects and highlights of the graphic design program at SCCA was the magazine project. I chose to create a quarterly publication focusing on experimental music and art. This ranged from the performances of Survival Research Laboratories, to the academic sound research of the INA GRM, and the visceral sound warfare of the international pioneers of industrial music. I established an audience and tone, created reader profiles, a style guide, type styles, live page area, and got down to business. After countless weeks of labor, the finished product was a hundred page work that is both engaging and easy to read.
